PROJECT X BLACKBOX

For PROJECT X to be as successful as possible it needs to be attractive to young people in cities, in fact everywhere, PROJECT X needs to be a cool, desirable business that young people will buy into and follow and want to get involved with.

For this to happen, I think collaboration is imperative. PROJECT X is all about collaboration anyway, by working with institutions, universities and corporations, for example, to deliver high quality, high standard creative workshops covering every corner of the creative arts. However, I think PROJECT X will need to collaborate with various other business and media channels to be able to spread the PROJECT X name, message and goals to make sure PROJECT X is as successful as it can be.

For this to be achieved, i want to collaborate with Blackbox which is a platform for young rappers who want to spit their bars and release them onto the internet.

Blackbox allows the young people on the street a chance to express and share their stories and experiences with the world. One of the biggest blackbox cyphers was done by a young rapper called Dave, who is incredibly talented and is now one of the biggest UK rappers in the game. Whatever background or story you have, blackbox is there and gives you that chance to become successful through music.

Blackbox have built a very big platform with 130k subscribers on youtube and have accumulated a good following which results in impressive views on their videos, their newest u18s blackbox cypher has over 500k views.

Why would I want PROJECT X to collaborate? Blackbox are the voice of the street and they are followed and intertwined with the exact demographic PROJECT X is trying to help, young people who might be living around knife crime and gang violence and want to escape and do something positive - In this instance, music.

What I want for PROJECT X BLACKBOX is whenever PROJECT X is hosting a creative workshop in an area, we team up with blackbox and host a 'cypher' or freestyle in that area, showcasing the local talented artists and producers who are also from that area. I believe that this will help in the awareness of PROJECT X and the creative workshop as the artists from the area will have an audience of similar aged people from the same area - Resulting in strong natural exposure to the demographic PROJECT X needs to reach.

This will also help PROJECT X to move away from being a creative social enterprise and becoming a well known label that is appealing and relevant to young people, while holding the same strong ideology and goals of decreasing knife crime and gang violence while promoting opportunities and prosperity in and through the creative arts.
