"Design development experiment..."
For my project Conspiracy Events I wanted to create a main visual that says everything there needs to be said, without saying a word. For me, the first thing someone sees when clicking on a conspiracy media channel needs to be bold, powerful but simple to digest, this is because it is easy to overcomplicate a visual for a company which I think is counterproductive as, in this instance, Conspiracy Events is quite a complicated venture, it has many hands in many pockets and I believe it was important to leave the nitty gritty business elements for the Enterprise plan and focus on a visual design that gives the viewer the simple pleasure of looking at something not just nice, but intriguing.

After searching for inspiration that suited the Conspiracy Events aesthetic and identity I found three very strong visuals that delivered the effect I was looking for.
The first of the three visuals above is a really simple design using Neo lighting to attract the eye to the big block of red in the middle with the mandarin symbols creating a silhouette. What I really like the most about this is the perspective that it gives off, the use of the man in the foreground and the land in front of him makes the red block and symbols feel far larger and more dominant in the image. As well as this, the fire lanterns dotted around the side of the visual in different depts of field exaggerates the spaces in the poster - It really feels three dimensional and immersive.
Moving on to the second visual, this piece is my favourite as it is really impactful in the way they use a 3D cube effect to lay out the text in the middle of the screen then using smaller text on the outside for the less relevant information. You can also see the use of a smoke overlay with a red hue creating depth and breaking up any big black space which I think is really clever as it also gives it texture and looks like an actual poster.
Finally the third visual, this one is more abstract but I found interesting as it really spaced out with barely any text or imagery but the use of the bold red streaks again really breaks up any empty black space and brings the who concept together nicely. The positioning of the text was interesting to me also.

"Simple beginnings."
The initial concept for the main visual was a success in a simple way, I wanted to create the idea of a 3D cube in the middle of the screen which would be surrounded by three bold 'rings' that would almost trap the cube in a floating space. The use of three rings is of great significance as it links to the idea of the Conspiracy Events three tier subscription plans that will be available for the public, all being different levels in price and thus, levels in VR quality, accessibility etc.
As well as the main cube and rings in the middle, I knew that more text would be needed on the visual somewhere, so placing it at the bottom centrally appealed to me the most.

So as you can see, the developed version really encompasses what I was looking for. From the insporations that I showed as well as other pieces of inspiration that I came across, I was able to create a visual that had a feeling of futuristic space exploration with depth by using different layers which appear in the foreground as well as background.
I wanted to minimise the amount of text that was on this visual as I wanted the main attraction to the be the cube with the logo on, so I chose my words wisely and places them underneath the 'Conspiracy Events' title. As well as that piece of text, there is three small pieces of writing as you can see in the top right corner which have three important selling points for Conspiracy Events that is important to have on a visual.
As I am creating a website for Conspiracy Events I needed to adapt this main, opening visual to the website size and because the web page already has wording on it, I felt like making this visual even more simple was important.
